Day 2, Day 2 of the Wives of Faith blog carnial...halfway through, but I believe the best is yet to come!
Today We were asked what 11 things we would like to do or see where we live right now. Boy, am I going to be busy to get all these done...whew!
....I want to take our boys to the Oklahoma City Memorial before we PCS. I think it's important for them to understand that sometimes we reflect on the bad to see the good.
....My husband wants to go to Eskimo Joe's in Stillwater, OK. We've been talking about it for a couple years now, but every time we think of doing it something else takes up the time slot.
....I have heard about the airshow on base here, but of course, the last time they did one was the 4th of July before we got married. I hope they bring it back this year, since we can't do fireworks in our county either.
....I want to take my husband south to San Antonio, TX so he can have his "4 horseman" burger...see reruns of Man Vs. Food to understand what I'm referring to :-).
....I would like to go fishing with my husband and his pastor friend, on this boat that I have heard about them fishing on for the last 4 years but have never seen or been on myself...yes, I would think this was weird too, but I have been pregnant the last 2 summers and I knew there were no bathrooms on the boat.
....I would like to take my husband to another concert. We went to the Brooks and Dunn "last rodeo" concert, my husband's first one. Now, I just need another one that he likes to roll through town.
....I would like to walk around in the church I have seen downtown that has a plaque on it that says "the first church built in....". I have a thing for historical churchs.
....We would like to participate in a fun-run together. Currently working on that, and he wants to work up from there to the NYC marathon.
....This is tornado alley, but I have never actually seen a tornado on the ground. I may regret this, but I would like to see a tornado formed and on the ground, but be far enough away that nobody is hurt and property isn't damaged.
....I would like to go to a Renaissance festival here, but haven't found one to go to yet.
....I would like to have my sister come down here and see our house, and oklahoma in general, we can be tourists together. We need a visit!
Thank you for sharing your list! I would like to do all the above! San Antonio is a lovely city! I was stationed there during one of my AIT's. We want to retire there also...so hopefully that 'dream' comes a reality! I am orginally from Texas too. :)
